IN-HOUSE MODIFIED JUMP HOUR

We have always been fascinated by the Jump Hour complication. The Jump Hour mechanism is a rare and fascinating complication that first gained prominence in the early 20th century, celebrated for its clarity and mechanical ingenuity.

Unlike traditional watches, where the hour hand moves continuously, this movement allows the hour to “jump” precisely at the turn of the hour—a mesmerizing mechanical feat.

For the Grand Tonneau Jump Hour collection, we have in-house modified the automatic Jump Hour movement (ST1721). This movement has been expertly engineered to showcase time through two rotating discs, seamlessly aligning with the collection’s distinctive design language.

Before assembly, each movement undergoes a rigorous two-week in-house testing process, ensuring flawless performance and reliability.

TONNEAU CASE SHAPE

Inspired by the barrel-shaped (tonneau) watches introduced in the early 1900s, our goal was to create a case with a timeless design while seamlessly integrating a modern touch.

To achieve this, we crafted a solid, sculpted look by incorporating multiple layers and contrasting textures, adding both depth and character.

The distinctive tonneau shape is further accentuated by the polished lugs, which elegantly sit above the dial and inner case, enhancing the watch’s dimensionality and refined presence.

SLIM CASE PROFILE

Encasing our in-house modified jump hour movement, we have meticulously engineered the case to maintain a sleek, sub-10mm profile, ensuring both refinement and wearability.

The two-piece case construction enhances structural integrity, giving the watch a robust and durable feel while preserving its elegant proportions. This thoughtful design strikes the perfect balance between modern sophistication and timeless craftsmanship, making it a true statement piece on the wrist.

CUSTOM INTEGRATED STRAP

For the Grand Tonneau Jump Hour, we have designed a custom integrated FKM rubber strap that seamlessly follows the contours of the case, accentuating its striking angles. Crafted from premium FKM rubber, the strap offers exceptional durability and a comfortable fit.

Completing the design, the 316L stainless steel butterfly clasp features an elegant perlage finishing, ensuring a secure fit while adding a refined touch to the timepiece.
